Well, as you might know, my name is Sylvie.
I am 15 years old, though people tend to think I’m 4 (or even more) years older.. maybe it’s my height, my body or way of thinking and acting. Unfortunately, I will be turning 16 on November 8th.. unfortunately, because I actually don’t like growing up (in terms of age, not of height).

Although I’m a Chinese (mostly) and Thai decent, I was born and raised in a town next to Paris, France (I won’t tell you the name, it’s hard to pronounce and you prolly won’t remember it). I like it here, really. I <3 Paris. But sometimes I wish I could just slap some arrogant people here. Oh yeah, and it’s impossible to walk being blinded because you may step on one of the 100000 daily pet dumps all over Paris.

Since I’m part Thai, I consider Bangkok being my second hometown. I (my mom) do have an apartment there, so I’m going to BKK few times a year to give my mind some peace (even if the place is supposed to be stressful) or simply to spend my vacations there. I do travel (always with Thai Airways!), which is one of the things I love doing the most (besides playing the computer). I really enjoy discovering other civilizations and lifestyles.. helps you feeding your personal culture and avoiding being narrow-minded. I wouldn’t like to live Paris as much as I love this city. Sydney, Bangkok, or Auckland (I love world food; french, thai, lao, viet, korean, japanese, israeli, greek…) By the way, I used to hate planes (motion-sick and fear) while now, everything has changed and it became a passion. Every journey is fun lol.  Though if I had the money, I’d go to exciting places like Jordania, Africa, Brazil, Peru, Antarctic, Finland, Russia and more, without leaning on my parents money. I really want my life to be an achievement, and I already planned some projects (although nothing can be sure).

I currently study in Notre-Dame des Missions, a catholic private school. It’s a good school, and I even like it more now. I’m interested in studies (overall) but some subjects gets me sleeping. I usually get good grades, and I usually end up first or second in the rank. However, I’ll certainly fall down to the 10-ish place or something I fell to the 7th rank.. as I landed in a class full of nerds (n.b: I’m not a nerd) and I hate competition even if it turns to be necessary. To be really frank, If my average grades pleases me and I would be ranked 30 out of 35, I won’t give a single damn to it.
Anyway.

In order to escape from all the weird stuff, music stands by me! I can’t say that I listen to ALL kinds of music (as people tend to say they do), because no, I don’t listen to metal, rock, disco’s, classics or country (though..) songs. But my music genre range is quite large: I listen to R&B (Rhythm&Blues, you noob), hip-hop, pop, as I love jazz, alternative, techno, electronic, dance, house and pop/rock.
Nevertheless, half of my iPod shuffle (1st generation) is filled with asian songs.. korean pop, thai pop, chinese pop, japanese pop.. By the way, I also play the piano.. unfortunately I stopped studying after 3 years, but I LOVE it and I try my best to continue playing it without lessons.

Another thing I’m keen on, photography. I love taking beautiful shots, of the unique moments, of the silly moments, and simply, of the moment. Of course, I practice it as an amateur! But since I don’t have my own camera, I have to borrow my sister’s, so limited practicing =| I got my mom’s Canon PowerShot S45 which is 6 years old but still working well! Canons are the best <3. Obviously, my hobbies also includes webdesigning&making graphics. And i’m addicted to it since 2002. Although I’ve been on a graphic break for a year now, maybe the lack of inspiration..

I never ever did such a long description of myself. Perhaps today I wanted to talk about me lol.
